Overheating shutdown and overheating protection function refer to the function of preventing IC from misoperation, characteristic degradation, and damage when the IC connection temperature is too high.
For general voltage regulators or DC/DC, when the overheat shutdown and overheat protection functions are activated, the current supply to the output side is stopped and the output is turned off.
If the current supply to the output side is stopped, the self heating disappears and the connection temperature decreases.
The IC has self recovery overheat shutdown and overheat protection functions. When the connection temperature drops to the temperature at which the overheat shutdown and overheat protection functions are released, the IC will restart.
When the overload state persists after restarting, the overheat shutdown and overheat protection functions are restarted, and the overheat shutdown and overheat protection functions are repeatedly detected and released.
